The M-Board is suitable for a wide range of applications, for environments requiring a fire rating as well as for more general building board usages. It represents a significant advance in construction board technology to meet increasingly stringent building regulations and demands for ever higher standards of durability, safety and economy.

Manufactured to exacting tolerances, the product is classified as Class 'A1' in its fire performance. Suitable for drywall, linings, partitions, ceilings, fire doors, fixed and floating floors, and external cladding, it offers a number of unique advantages - for both cost and performance - over the fire rated and other boards currently on the market.

More Advantages
M-Board is manufactured from a combination of Magnesium Oxide, Magnesium Chloride and fibrous reinforcement. It does not contain any organic solvents, asbestos, oil, or toxic components, or any heavy metal salts. Low level of energy is consumed in the manufacturing process since the entire process is conducted at room temperature. Any scrap or drop-off may be reground and reused in production of M-Board. Thus, this product is considered Sustainable and Environment Friendly. Due to these traits, M-Board is safe to use and easy to dispose as it will not cause any damage to land, streams or bodies of water.

Comes in 1220mm x 2440mm standard size and board thickness range from 3mm to 20mm, M-Board has a smooth side suitable for painting, and a rough side suitable to application of ceramic tile. Therefore, it can be used more than just for Dry Wall Partition.

Specimen: wall partition assembly constructed in the (14ft W by 9 ft H) test opening with (92mm) 18 ga. Metal studs, 100mm insulation, 1 layer of 12mm M-Board wallboard both sides

 Fire Resistance Test (BS 476: Part 22: 1987)

Specimen: partition system with overall dimensions of 3,025mm wide by 3,050mm high by 70mm thick, comprised of a layer of 12mm thick M-Board mounted on each side of galvanized steel frame and a layer of 46mm thick mullite crystal fibre blanket with density of 94 kg/m3 sandwiched in between the boards.

Insulation: 132 Minutes
Integrity: 150 Minutes (no failure)
The test was discontinued after a period of 150 minutes.
